Two weeks ago I posted about my latest fitness goal/challenge – a 25 mile bike ride. The bike ride is a fundraiser for a large cancer hospital in my hometown. I’ve set a goal to raise $2,500 for the ride in honor of my grandfather who recently passed away to cancer.
Cycling is completely new to me. I’ve done spinning and ridden the stationary bike at the gym, but I haven’t ridden a real bike in about 10 years. I just bought my bike on Saturday, and I’m really excited to start practicing on it! I’m a little nervous about this ride – as it is completely out of my comfort zone. I’ve taken to planning/tracking my rides like I would with any other fitness or nutrition goal.
Normally I just write all of my workouts in a plain little notebook. I was super excited when my friends at Journal Menu sent me this awesome journal to keep track of my progress. Journal Menu makes customized journals for pretty much anything you could think of. Whether you’re a runner, yogi, cross-fitter.. there’s something for you on Journal Menu. You can customize what goes inside the journal with specific pages for all kinds of things like goal setting, measurements, nutritional Info, or personal bests.
I got a running journal so I would have enough space to write about my bike rides, or my weight training. Each entry has a space for the date, time, weather. There are really awesome inspirational quotes at the top of each page, which are nice to read as I’m logging my entries.
My favorite part of the Journal Menu is the outside. I picked the kettle bell graphic they had for the cover of my journal – but you can use any image that you like. I then picked out my two favorite quotes. On the front it says : “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit” and on the back it says “Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going”
I had so much fun creating this journal – I already can’t wait to make my next one! You can learn more about Journal Menu, and get 15% off your order, here.
